Procurement Services

The following partial list of procurement services is arranged in the order in which the services are typically provided to the customer. Every customer’s needs are unique and we are able to provide many additional services beyond those listed here, but for general energy procurement work this list provides a good overview of our typical scope of services.

  • Meeting with client stake holders to evaluate the company’s business needs and discuss options for managing costs and risk, and determining how the customer wants to balance the pursuit of low costs with managing energy price risk.
  • Evaluating supply options – both for purchasing and delivery.
  • Educating the customer about various market options available (as needed).
  • Working with the customer to formulate a supply strategy that fits the customer’s business needs.
  • Authoring, issuing and marketing any needed request for proposals.
  • Evaluating all RFP responses and presenting the results to the customer for evaluation. THG recommends a supply option to the customer but the customer has the final say on which company to work with.
  • Assisting the customer in the negotiation of any needed contract terms and overseeing the contract execution process.
  • Monitoring the energy markets for opportunities to lock in pricing.
  • Working with the customer to lock in energy pricing with the selected supplier.
  • Monitoring invoices associated with the supply contracts and pursuing corrections of any billing errors on the customer’s behalf.
  • Providing energy cost and usage reporting and budgeting assistance.
