Leadership at Its Best!
We’re excited to announce three new members of the THG team, Katie Becht, Jay House, and Dr. Fred C. Beach.
Katie Becht, Business Development Manager
Katie is our new Business Development Manager and has been with us for a few months now. She brings a strong background and understanding of the North American energy markets and the companies that transact in those markets. After working in the energy market data space and supporting traders and energy principals for over twelve years at both ABB and Yes Energy, she felt a strong pull to transition to a role more focused on the energy sustainability side of the business. Her industry experience combined with her genuine desire to help people learn how to manage their energy budgets and usage gives her a unique perspective that she’s leveraging in her role at THG.
Katie received her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, with a policy focus and a forestry minor from Oklahoma State University. She is passionate about helping people understand the importance of resource stewardship—a conversation that must include discussions about energy usage. Katie is also a proud wife and mother to two amazing children (Eva, 12 and Zeke, 5). She has been married to her husband for almost 13 years. They love spending time outdoors in beautiful Colorado, playing sports, serving their church, and assisting their favorite dog rescue as a foster family.
Jay House, Chief Financial Officer
Jay House is our new Chief Financial Officer and has just joined us this past December. Jay comes to THG from Continuum Energy, LLC where he served as Senior Vice President and Treasurer. He joined Continuum (formerly Seminole Energy Services, LLC) in 2006 as the company’s first dedicated financial analyst. While at Continuum Jay was the primary person responsible for financial analysis on hundreds of transactions, out of which resulted $250 MM+ in executed transactions both on the buy and sell sides, as well as equity capital raises. Prior to joining Continuum, Jay was a Tax Associate at Grant Thornton LLP.
Jay attended Harding University graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting in 2002. He also received his Juris Doctor from The University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2005. Jay is a Certified Public Accountant and a Member of the Oklahoma State Bar.
Jay has been married to Carrie House since 2006. Carrie is an attorney who operates her own very successful law practice focusing on estate, trust, and business law. Carrie and Jay have two children, Jackson and Emma.
Dr. Fred C. Beach, Board Member
In addition to Katie and Jay, we’re also excited to welcome Dr. Fred C. Beach to our Board of Directors. Dr. Beach conducts research related to the interplay between the development of Energy Policy, Environmental Policy, and Technology Policy at the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Beach also teaches a wide range of classes on Energy Technology Policy, International Energy Policy, and Energy Economics in the Cockrell School of Engineering, The LBJ School of Public Policy, The McCombs Business School, and the Jackson School of Geosciences.

Since retiring in 2003 he has also served as a consultant on defense-related topics for the U.S. Chief of Naval Operations Strategic Studies Group, MITRE, Naval Research Advisory Committee, Naval Research Laboratory, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, and the Defense Science Board.
Dr. Beach holds a Ph.D. from the LBJ School of Public Policy, University of Texas at Austin an M.S. in Physics from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
