At the close of the 2019 SPARK conference in Atlanta, Urjanet announced the 2019 SPARK Award winners. THG and Sustainable Tulsa were recognized as national leaders in Community Engagement and acknowledged as category finalists. However, Bright Power, Building Energy Exchange, and Sustainable Energy Partnerships took home the Leader in Community Engagement award for their work to reduce multi-family energy use in the Big Apple by 11%. Other award winners include AvidXChange in Energy & Sustainability; Simple Bills in Most Innovative Use of Utility Data, and Guppy in Financial Inclusion.

“We salute all of the progressive brands who submitted nominations for the first annual SPARK Awards, and the trails they are blazing by implementing cutting-edge solutions using utility data.” – Sanjoy Malik, CEO of Urjanet

In addition to being recognized as award finalists, THG also contributed to the success of the conference through the expertise of our senior leadership team. Our company president, Daniel Frey, shared cutting-edge insights into ways industry leaders are optimizing operations and saving energy while improving tenant and employee satisfaction with the power of integrated information. Among the successes, Daniel shared was the case for ADR at water treatment facilities—an example of how a city captured over $800,000 in value.
